As we have received many requests, we wish to clarify the situation around Dominica passport holders’ access to the Schengen Zone.
Although the European Commission made a recommendation that Dominica and several other Caribbean Island, as well as selected Pacific Island nations, be included in the Schengen Visa Waiver program, as of today, Dominica passport holders cannot enter the Schengen Zone without having obtained a visa prior to their arrival.
It is anticipated that in March or April there may be an official announcement, as the final decision rests with the EU Parliament and Council of the EU.
